PODIM post event: Global Pioneers Ljubljana

Pioneers is dedicated to inspire, empower and connect entrepreneurs, startups and innovators. Pioneers are a young and dynamic team, driven by the motivation to change the world to the better by the means of entrepreneurship and epic future technologies.
 
Therefore they organize offline events such as the Pioneers Festival, their annual event where the great minds of this world gather at the beautiful Hofburg Imperial Palace in Vienna to celebrate entrepreneurship, network and get inspired by all kinds of amazing innovations and local editions in the cities all around the world.
 

About Global Pioneers - Ljubljana

Global Pioneers is an initiative and a series of events of the Vienna-based startup conference Pioneers Festival, unfolding in several cities across the globe. The third event Pioneers Ljubljana will take place in Technology Park Ljubljana on May 15th at 18 o’clock. The event is organized by Živa Jalovec, a Pioneers Festival ambassador, and Initiative Start:up Slovenia. Two eminent guests will be present for the educational part of Pioneers Ljubljana:

• Tristan Harris is a design thinker, philosopher and entrepreneur. He is currently a product philosopher at Google studying Design Ethics: how the design of technology influences users’ behavior, attention and well-being.
• Gina Waldhorn co-founded Evol8tion in 2011 with the vision of solving business problems with technology solutions. Evol8tion builds a bridge between the worlds of Madison Avenue and Mountain View by connecting early stage startups with leading brands to create mutually beneficial partnerships via pilot and mentorship programs, acceleration, and investments or acquisitions.

8 Slovenian startup teams will pitch

Up to 8 Slovenian startup teams will pitch to the expert committee and the audience. The winners will get the possibility to pitch at the Pioneers Challenge in Vienna, a ticket for the Pioneers Festival, and practical prizes. The expert committee consists of Tristan Harris (Google), Gina Waldhorn (Evol8tion) and Marius Starcke (Pioneers).
